I used to love Rurouni Kenshin or Samurai X as it was also known. I still do, in fact. I just fell in love with Kenshin Himura, Saito Hajime, and Aoshi Shinomori, three major characters in the hit manga, and I must have watched every single episode of the show.

Loved them so much I went so far as fantasizing I was an anime character! What I remember the most though was its impressive array of opening and ending themes which were changed once, twice, or thrice in each season.

The songs where so catchy that I memorized every single one of them even though I don't speak Japanese. I've compiled the videos of all the opening and ending themes, admittedly for selfish reasons but I'm sharing them with you, and their lyrics, too, so you can sing along. Rurouni Kenshin buffs like myself will surely think they've died and gone to heaven when they see this. I REALLY want to watch this. I bought a Malaysian release, English dub from a Malaysia based seller on eBay. I've had bad experiences with those versions. The subtitle translations are often gibberish. So I think I'm restricted to watching it in English. I recently noticed it on Netflix.

My query is, do you, or anyone, know if there is a difference between the retail and Netflix versions? Is the Netflix version the full one, with no cut or censored content?

Hi miss susan. Thank you so much for this site. It really makes me happy everytime i see or hear anything that has something to do with kenshin himura. He makes my heart melt. When i was a kid i even dreamed of marrying him someday. I watched every single night all the episodes and watch it over and over again. I don't mind waiting everynight back then.i even memorized shishio's motto: the strong shall live and the weak shall die.'

And he makes me gooooeeeyyyy and soooo girly inside. I was inlove with kenshin. I think that nothing in this world could ever replace kenshin himura in my heart. I love you miss susan and thank you for making me remember the things that made me smile when i was a kid and all the good morals that kenshin has taught me in life. Most of all thank you for making me a little kid again.

I started loving samurai x since i was 10.now i am 20.bt i m still in lov with khenshi.samurai x is the reason i started looking 4 diferent anime shows.according 2 u i saw the sony dub version.the character names were khenshi,kori,yoshi sano suki.i loved the songs so much that i sing the songs with wrong lyrics as i don't understand japanese.& my elder sis always criticises me 4 that.bt i realy don't mind.i just lov the anime.i lov the pairing of khenshi n kori.awesome couple!i liked the fighting between khenshi n yoshi also.i lov the all! After samurai x i started seeing alice academi,ultra meniac,la corda doro primo passo,maid sama.n i think this list will b continued through rest of my life.so i m always thankful 2 samurai x. Ive grown to love Samurai X.up till now its one of my fave anime of all time! The plot is great.its historic story is awesome with all those various japanese era that somewhat related to the reality of japan.

I was so amazed of it.not until ive watch the few episode before the end of its anime tv series which is a huge disappointment! What will be a great samurai warrior be related to Feng Shui drama ever.! Aghhh anyway, about its opening and ending songs, its an anime with a great list of songs from various artists. The first song that i love was 1/2, 1/3 and 4th aveneu cafe.
